We are each born with talents. These are our vehicles, through creativity, to find ourselves. We must each search inside for what suits us. Finding this is half way to achieving one’s self. All of the rest will be simple training and experience.
Although I think that architectural school may not have had much of a direct effect on my artistic skills, I cannot deny the fact that it informed my talent in a special way. It some how refined my taste and made me more analytical and selective. Even though there are many theories opposing the rational mind in art, the objectivity applied in critique of my own art did not destroy the spontaneous and impulsive nature or character of my paintings. Actually the more art education I get, the more the need to be chaotic grows, and the freedom in my lines and colors becomes deeper and more easily recognized
Art was always my passion. I consider it the true key to enjoying a happy existence. For me painting is like praying. It is a special moment when you, your soul, and the image in your mind come together. It is the ever lasting aim of enjoying lines and colors leading to the moment where you slowly and unconsciously transfer the image from its virtual being to actual reality. Creation is a moment of serenity where self fulfillment and the feeling of perfection are part of the outcome.
